Learn how to make मुगा आंबट - Mugachi Amti recipe from our chef Archana on Ruchkar Mejwani Karwar Special. <br /> <br />Mugachi Amti is a quick and easy Maharashtrian dal where sprouted moong dal is cooked in delicious masala paste and served with rice. <br /> <br />Ingredients: <br /> <br />For Masala Paste: <br />1 tbsp Oil <br />1/2 Cup Grated coconut <br />2 tbsp Coriander Seeds <br />7-8 Dry Red Chillies <br /> <br />250 gms Sprouted Moong <br />1 tbsp Oil <br />1 Green Chilli <br />1 tsp Mustard Seeds <br />15-20 Curry Leaves <br />1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder <br />1/4 tsp Asafeotida <br />Salt to taste <br />Water <br /> <br />Method: <br /> <br />- To make the masala paste in a pan heat some oil. <br />- Add grated coconut, coriander seeds, dry red chillies. Saute everything for a minute. <br />- Let it cool down for some time and then grind it into a smooth paste. Keep this paste aside till further use. <br />- To make the amti, in a large sauce pan heat some oil. <br />- Add green chilli, mustard seeds, curry leaves, asafeotida and turmeric powder. Mix everything well. <br />- Then add sprouted moong dal and salt. Give a stir. Add little water and cover it with a lid. Add little water on the lid as well and let the moong dal cook for few minutes. <br />- Once the moong dal is cooked add the masala paste. <br />- Add little water and let everything come to a boil. <br />- Mugachi Amti is ready to be relished with hot steamed rice!
